We Support Black Equality and An End to Racial Injustice

With the recent protests and riots, while in the midst of a global pandemic, it’s an incredibly challenging time for all of us personally, as a company and as a nation. Superfeet will always fall back on our Purpose, Mission, Vision and Brand Truths to remain focused on making a positive difference in the world. We created a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) working group at the beginning of last year and have made meaningful progress toward making Superfeet a better organization by bringing more diversity to our table. These times are a hard reminder that we all have a lot more work to do.

We join the many voices around the world calling for black equality and an end to racial injustice. We will be part of the solution. As an employee-owned company Superfeet has and always will put people first. But words without action are like running in place — well-meaning, but when you're done, you've gone nowhere. It's time to get off the treadmill and make forward progress.

We commit to creating an action plan.

Here's what we're doing within our walls and hearts to take steps across the start line towards that plan. Steps some may see as small, yes. But every long, hard journey starts with a single step.

We begin by listening and learning. This week we purchased the book White Fragility by Robin DiAngelo for every one of our employee-owners. We'll read this together to help us have the hard conversations about the changes that need to happen in our organization, and to inform the long-term action plan we will create.

Other resources we're consulting — we invite you to join us in looking to these experts for guidance:
