How do I trim my new insoles to fit my shoes?

Full-length Superfeet insoles are supposed to be trimmed to fit in your shoes. If your insoles are too long:

Trim them with household scissors.
Leave a 1-2mm gap between the insole and the shoe's end.

Help, my insoles squeak! What should I do?

Most often this is caused by improper fit in your shoes. Here's how to check the fit:

First, be sure the insole is trimmed correctly. Remove the Superfeet insole from your shoe.
If you see creases in the foam at the toe or sides of the insole, you may need to do some additional trimming.
Trim insoles slightly to ensure they move independently inside the shoe. Leave a 1-2mm gap between the insole and the shoe's end.
Sprinkle baby powder or place a dryer sheet under the insole if the squeak persists.
Test insoles in another pair of shoes to check if they are too wide.

How should I clean my Superfeet insoles?

It’s a good idea to clean your Superfeet insoles occasionally.

Handwash: Use mild soap and warm water.
Brush: Use a soft-bristle toothbrush if needed.
Rinse: Rinse well, remove excess water with a soft towel.
Air Dry: Allow to air dry, but avoid heat sources.
DO NOT MACHINE WASH OR DRY: The results aren’t pretty. Your insole will be damaged and its effectiveness will be compromised.

Ready to break in your insoles? Here's how to do it right!

Superfeet insoles may require a break-in period of about two weeks.

For the first week:

Wear the insoles for 1-2 hours on the first day.
Increase to 2-3 hours on the second day.
Gradually increase the duration each day.

Continue this process until your feet are accustomed to wearing the insoles all day long.

Do I have to wear socks with my insoles?

Recommendation: Wear socks to absorb moisture, reduce friction, and extend insole life.
Sockless: If you prefer going sockless, clean and air out insoles regularly.

"So far so good. These insoles have been worn around many different jobsites from the fab shop to industrial plants to new construction. I use them in my thorogood boots and the comfort seems similar to the insoles they come with. No fatigue after long 8+ hour days. Don’t believe I’ve had anything come close to puncturing my soles but the added peace of mind is nice because I have had metal go through my boots in the past. "I’ve been wearing the superfeet puncture resistant insoles for a few weeks now and have really enjoyed them. The foot shape fits into my boots nicely for a few pairs of shoes and provides good arch support during long days. Fortunately, I haven’t stepped on anything sharp or nails to truly test out their puncture resistance, but they have a nice sturdy plate to protect your feet and are comfortable insole for all day use. I did have an issue with the insoles fitting into my Ariat work boots, which I anticipated, but was unfortunate. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review."

Great Insole

"These are great insoles! I used these in my Hiax Airpower XR2 boots at work on EMS calls specifically and they fit right into my size 10 boots and worked great. They are however thicker than stocker which can provide to be an issue however if you are having issue with your boots and work in an environment where puncture hazard is a risk consider these insole!"

"I would highly recommend these (and I already have) to my coworkers. Every time I put my boots on for more than a routine call I had issues with plantar fasciitis. I had to stretch and use a lacrosse ball etc to recover on my days off just to start all over again next time I worked. Since wearing these my issues have completely gone away."

"I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. I’ve worn the insoles in my Haix station boots for 6 weeks and have been pleased with the results. They offer great arch support and are comfortable for my day to day activities. They were a direct fit into my boots requiring no modifications to the insoles. My station boots have a built in shank to prevent penetration, but the added protection from the insoles provides another layer of safety while working in hazardous conditions. I am pleased with the performance and will continue to test these out in the years to come."
